Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Carmen's Mauricio Bernaldo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mauricio Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Gartxot having to interfere. After 5 played minutes Yacuy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Aimar. After a defensive mix-up in Yacuy AFC's zone, Mauricio Bernaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Gartxot came out of the goal and Mauricio Bernaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Bernaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodosio Gartxot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Mauricio Bernaldo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Teodosio Gartxot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carmen. Marcelino Ladio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Nalo in the 14th minute. The supporters of Yacuy AFC booed when Carmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Nuxila didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Gonzalo Feliz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelino Ladio skillfully saved the ball. After 19 played minutes Carmen got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Isias. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Savion in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodosio Gartxot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Godofredo Berdaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yacuy AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Berdaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Ladio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Ladislao Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmen were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Yacuy AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Abechuco took the corner. After taking down the ball on Carmen's corner Omar Abechuco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teodosio Gartxot quite easily take care of the ball. Oscar Nalo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Teodosio Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauricio Bernaldo's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Godofredo Berdaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marcelino Ladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Nalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mauricio Bernaldo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mauricio Bernaldo was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Carmen's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Bernaldo in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Gartxot saved Yacuy AFC from getting behind. When Ladislao Savion came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Carmen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Savion couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Mauricio Bernaldo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teodosio Gartxot. The goal made the score 0-1. Mauricio Bernaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Teodosio Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Ladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Berdaitz in the 89th minute of the match.
