In the 24th minute, Brete's Geronimo Porfiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haroldo Azeari. Haroldo Azeari yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Leonides Vellito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Cortez having to interfere. Tadeo Orlanda succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 31st playminute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Porfiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Brete's Tadeo Orlanda got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geronimo Porfiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Azeari having to interfere. With a little luck, Brete's Timoteo Cortez got control of the ball when Leonides Vellito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnoldo Elivareo's late challenge caught a Brete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Elivareo helped the player get up and apologised. Niceto Obano shot the penalty kick right outside the post. A collision led to Devisadero AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Carlos Ieltxu hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Mauricio Arnalt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timoteo Ostargi during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Devisadero AFC's Carlos Ieltxu got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brete's goalkeeper Timoteo Cortez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Timoteo Cortez made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Leonides Vellito sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Ieltxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Timoteo Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Devisadero AFC booed when Brete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brete's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
