To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Elpidio Urbasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Beturian in the 20th minute of play forced Sopanta AFC's goalkeeper Severino Benet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Silvestre Beturian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
