Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norberto Ferman got the match started through his kick off. Cristobal Arotza scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Llanos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Núñez's goalkeeper Fidel Aires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Abadie. After 10 played minutes Mauro Lucero rounded Núñez's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After recieving a nice pass, Club Pumas UNAM's Mauro Lucero tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Benito Koldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Pumas UNAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Núñez the free kick. After 18 played minutes Club Pumas UNAM got a freekick which was hit by Benito Koldo. Marcelo Abadie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Fidel Aires skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Club Pumas UNAM's Mauro Lucero in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Núñez's goalie prevented a goal. Everardo Unax kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Mauro Lucero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fidel Aires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Abadie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fidel Aires made a huge save. Fidel Aires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Lucero in the 33rd minute of play. Mauro Lucero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Marcelo Abadie made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Aires. Núñez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Núñez's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Lucero came free, but Fidel Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Núñez's Fidel Aires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Abadie in the 52nd minute of play. Norberto Ferman kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With 56 minutes on the clock, Everardo Unax commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Núñez booed when Club Pumas UNAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Unax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Lucero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Aires having to interfere. Benito Koldo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Club Pumas UNAM's Roque Senon quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Blas Rio, made in the 75th minute of the game. Fidel Aires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Blas Rio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Núñez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Pumas UNAM the free kick. Blas Rio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Mauro Lucero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blas Rio got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Club Pumas UNAM booed when Núñez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Rio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Norberto Ferman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Pumas UNAM's Roque Senon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Núñez defense, Ceferino Baumer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Aires. The Núñez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Aires should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Pumas UNAM had played much better football throughout.
