The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Angelino Tristan fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eusebia FC's protests and gave Angelino Tristan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Angelino Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebia FC's Ambrosio Azeari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benigno Brion. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Aquiles Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Donostia in the 11th minute of the match. Aparicio AFC's Fidel Donostia got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Eusebia FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Atarrabi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Donostia in the 19th minute of play forced Eusebia FC's goalkeeper Aquiles Dantae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Fortun charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Fortun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Eusebia FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Evelio Fortun hit a great ball. In the 26th match minute, Aparicio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Medardo to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Eguerdi, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 31st minute, Aristides Chale made a precise shot to the right of Aquiles Dantae. Eusebia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fidel Donostia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Dantae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eusebia FC's zone, Fidel Donostia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Dantae came out of the goal and Fidel Donostia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Fidel Donostia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Dantae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ambrosio Azeari made a kick off. If Fidel Donostia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Bernal in the 53rd minute of the match. Benigno Brion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eusebia FC. When Ambrosio Azeari came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Eusebia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Azeari couldn't finish the play. Ambrosio Azeari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 85th minute of the match Bernabe Guillelmus completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernabe Guillelmus a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aparicio AFC's Benigno Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Pacho in the 92nd minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
