The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arsenio Lizbeth kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Godofredo Artizar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Hulberto's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Delmiro Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Artizar having to interfere. If Paulo Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Samuel Eguen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reynaldo Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Artizar having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinicio Hulberto in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Artizar saved Kukulcania FC from getting behind. In the 28th minute Paulo Bastia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Florian's late challenge caught a Nirihuao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Florian helped the player get up and apologised. Nirihuao's Aurelio Reno couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kukulcania FC. After having played for 36 minutes, Paulo Bastia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kukulcania FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Bastia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Modesto Guillelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Oliviero in the 40th minute of play forced Kukulcania FC's goalkeeper Godofredo Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Kukulcania FC's Rigoberto Gabrio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Eguen. Samuel Eguen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Modesto Guillelme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Eguen having to make a save. In the 55th minute of the match, Vinicio Hulberto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Godofredo Artizar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Delmiro Oliviero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Godofredo Artizar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Kukulcania FC defense, Arsenio Lizbeth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Artizar. The Kukulcania FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Artizar should have stopped the shot. When Modesto Guillelme fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kukulcania FC's protests and gave Modesto Guillelme a yellow card for diving instead. Modesto Guillelme kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Delmiro Oliviero in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godofredo Artizar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Delmiro Oliviero struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Godofredo Artizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nirihuao. The supporters of Kukulcania FC booed when Nirihuao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Naelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Delmiro Oliviero could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Godofredo Artizar however easily saved by the left post. Godofredo Artizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Lizbeth in the 80th minute. Vinicio Hulberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Godofredo Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Artizar having to interfere. A hard shot by Teo Truylos from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Godofredo Artizar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Paulo Bastia came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Kukulcania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Bastia couldn't finish the play. The Nirihuao players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kukulcania FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
