Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeledon Cruz kicked off to start the match. Ariel Ederono charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Ederono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Ospetsu during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Animán FC got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Ospetsu. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Abel Ordono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Animán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Ordono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes Animán FC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Shepherd. Paulino Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Ordono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ariel Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Chantico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Nicholas to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Rey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Ordono in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Chantico FC's Elvio Patxi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Edorta was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the game, Animán FC's Abel Ordono nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulino Rey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, Animán FC's Marco Edorta got control of the ball when Elvio Patxi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Patxi got free with Marco Edorta in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvio Patxi was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Animán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Hanot to maneuver through the defense. When Animán FC's Zeledon Cruz in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chantico FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Paulino Rey had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Prospero Ospetsu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Animán FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Prospero Ospetsu in the 69th minute. Modesto Pero tried in the game's 69th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Paulino Rey. An annoying self made goal, 1-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Abel Ordono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Animán FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Ordono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elvio Patxi kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Angel Mateus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marco Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Ederono hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luis Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Elvio Patxi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Nicholas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
