After a defensive mix-up in Chiclana FC's zone, Javier Ponciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Atarratze came out of the goal and Javier Ponciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute Nicolas Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Eyague in the 20th minute of play forced MONACHOI AC's goalkeeper Mateo Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nicolas Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victoriano Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Silverio Manni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Kismi having to interfere. Paolo Matthew charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Matthew the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Mateo Kismi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th minute of the match, Abel Eyague tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mateo Kismi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Javier Ponciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Atarratze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Primitivo Maria to strike the kick off in the second half. If Primitivo Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Efrain Bilintx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONACHOI AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chiclana FC the free kick. Efrain Bilintx hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The Chiclana FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while MONACHOI AC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
