The audience was convinced that Giovani Villalobos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Bermudez was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Redruth's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Villalobos came free, but Christian Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adolfo Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Bermudez was a little too slow when Giovani Villalobos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovani Villalobos was the one to do the kick off. If Adolfo Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Angel Fornos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redruth's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Fornos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonso Lovo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Redruth booed when Tamworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Bentos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Giovani Villalobos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Redruth's Angel Fornos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alonso Lovo. Alonso Lovo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Tamworth fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Redruth were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
