After having played for 29 minutes, Claudio Cerna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bridlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Cerna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Valenzuela having to interfere. Guillermo Guerrero scored 3-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Valenzuela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Elias Alfaro notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Pondersbridge's Selvin Moreno. Selvin Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bridlington's Julio Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Guerrero in the 67th minute of play. Claudio Cerna struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Selvin Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bridlington. The supporters of Bridlington booed when Pondersbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bridlington's Julio Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Rosales in the 91st minute of play. Mario Rico charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Rico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Pondersbridge got a freekick which was hit by Mario Rico. Selvin Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Cerna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pondersbridge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
