With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Flamenco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Flamenco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Ochoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hacconby United booed when Nunthorpe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Josue Giron in the 29th minute really tested Leonel Messias's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If David Alvarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Flamenco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Alvarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Alvarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jorge Flamenco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hacconby United were furious when Josue Giron was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 38th minute, one of Hacconby United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hacconby United. The referee gave Nunthorpe a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ernesto Mejia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hacconby United's Jorge Flamenco. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Joselito Orozco fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hacconby United's protests and gave Joselito Orozco a yellow card for diving instead. Joselito Orozco hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. David Alvarado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jorge Flamenco made a huge save. Jorge Flamenco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Ochoa in the 56th minute of the match. David Alvarado struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jorge Flamenco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nunthorpe. Patricio Valenzuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes of play, Nunthorpe's David Alvarado made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Flamenco was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Valenzuela in the 73rd minute of play forced Nunthorpe's goalkeeper Leonel Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nunthorpe getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rafael Mena hit a great ball. Eraldo Pacheco hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Gabriel Santana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Messias skillfully saved the ball. The Hacconby United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nunthorpe's performance. The match ended with a win for Nunthorpe.
