Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Salinas started the match with the kick off. In the 12th minute of the match Ernesto Molina sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Rojas skillfully saved the ball. It was a well-played corner which Avilio Bran managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 18th minute, Victor Salinas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edwin Bautista. The goal made the score 1-0. Marcos Pineda hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Southport getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Francisco Cerna hit a great ball. Marcos Pineda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Rojas having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Marcos Pineda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Granados charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Granados the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gabriel Granados hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Pineda in the 47th minute of play forced Westcliff on Sea's goalkeeper Hugo Rojas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Edgar Dubon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westcliff on Sea's Hugo Rojas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Dubon to strike the kick off in the second half. Edwin Bautista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Costas in the 54th minute of the match. If Victor Salinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Bautista came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Westcliff on Sea's Alvaro Chavez. But to his dismay, Alvaro Chavez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 61st minute, Alvaro Chavez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edwin Bautista was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Edgar Dubon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hugo Rojas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Dubon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Rojas having to interfere. Marcos Pineda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Hugo Rojas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Westcliff on Sea's Hugo Rojas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Westcliff on Sea from getting a goal against them. Victor Salinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Edwin Bautista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Westcliff on Sea got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Salamanca. 93 minutes into the match, Southport's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Salinas came free, but Edwin Bautista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 minutes of play Westcliff on Sea's Cesar Salamanca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 95th match minute, Westcliff on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Salamanca to maneuver through the defense. Westcliff on Sea were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Southport for a fine match.
