Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oswaldo Lara started the match with the kick off. Oswaldo Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jonathan Granados tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Granados made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Galdamez in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Julio Galdamez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thurmaston's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Galdamez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Granados breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidio Rosales's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Carlos Alas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Giovani Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ashburton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovani Martinez couldn't finish the play. When Jhonnatan Cerna fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thurmaston's protests and gave Jhonnatan Cerna a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Thurmaston getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jhonnatan Cerna hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Dagoberto Tobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ashburton defense, Oswaldo Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Granados. The Ashburton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Granados should have stopped the shot. Ovidio Rosales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oswaldo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Galdamez might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Granados. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julio Galdamez ran back to his position shaking his head. If Oswaldo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Ashburton's Edgardo Corrales got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Thurmaston's Guillermo Orobio tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Giovani Martinez made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Thurmaston's Julio Galdamez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Granados narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Rosales in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Alas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thurmaston's Carlos Alas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Rosales in the 60th minute of play. Ashburton's Jonathan Granados proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Ashburton from getting a goal against them. In the 69th match minute, Thurmaston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jhonnatan Cerna to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Rosales in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to Ashburton getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Guillermo Barraza hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Julio Galdamez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ashburton booed when Thurmaston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Thurmaston's Primitivo Rico got a free kick in the 79th minute. Giovani Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alas having to interfere. Oswaldo Lara struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jonathan Granados didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thurmaston. Julio Galdamez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Granados having to make a save. A collision led to Thurmaston getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Claudio Zelaya hit a great ball. Jonathan Granados made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Lara in the 99th minute of play.
