Gilberto Bonilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Odir Berrueta having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorenzo Pimentel in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odir Berrueta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Hampstead FC's zone, Gilberto Bonilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odir Berrueta came out of the goal and Gilberto Bonilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, William Hinguanzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odir Berrueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Bonilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Hampstead FC booed when Ponteland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronald Benavides was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ulises Arango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Benavides, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Hampstead FC's goalkeeper Odir Berrueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Pimentel. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Gilberto Bonilla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Odir Berrueta, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
