Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alonso Murgas got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes, Chorley FC's Manuel Pérez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chorley FC reached it. Omar Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Medinas short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Cesar Sanchez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, Alonso Murgas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cesar Sanchez, 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Alonso Murgas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cesar Sanchez. Alonso Murgas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 17th minute, Jonathan Cortez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Scofton's Jonathan Cortez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin Alfaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Selvin Cerna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alfaro having to interfere. Rudy Carranza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Franklin Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonso Murgas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cesar Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cesar Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Murgas in the 33rd minute of the match. When Raúl Villanueva came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Scofton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Villanueva couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alonso Murgas might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesar Sanchez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonso Murgas ran back to his position shaking his head.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rudy Carranza to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Alonso Murgas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Sanchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Alonso Murgas made a precise shot to the right of Cesar Sanchez. Scofton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Cesar Sanchez came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Chorley FC's Omar Medina. But to his dismay, Omar Medina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Rudy Carranza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franklin Alfaro came out and tried to block the shot, but Rudy Carranza slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 64th minute. If Alonso Murgas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes, Raúl Villanueva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scofton and the Chorley FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Scofton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alfaro having to interfere. The supporters of Scofton booed when Chorley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selvin Cerna didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudy Carranza in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franklin Alfaro saved Chorley FC from getting behind. When Chorley FC's Alonso Murgas in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scofton's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Scofton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chorley FC.
