The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tottenham's Félix Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Barrera in the 4th minute of play. When Arturo Serrano came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Tottenham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Serrano couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Tottenham's Arturo Serrano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvador Henriquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ismael Cetino put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Salvador Henriquez. Félix Oporto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ismael Cetino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Salvador Henriquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yasir Díaz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berkhamsted's zone, Arturo Serrano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Henriquez came out of the goal and Arturo Serrano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Ortiz during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Alberto Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Félix Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Ortiz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Barrera in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Félix Oporto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Barrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Alberto Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berkhamsted's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Berkhamsted's Marcelo Barrera in the 57th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Félix Oporto was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tottenham through an amazing save. In the 59th minute, Agustin Corrales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. One of Tottenham:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Berkhamsted:s goal. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Berkhamsted's Deris Monzon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Félix Oporto. Salvador Henriquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Serrano in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Marcelo Barrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berkhamsted's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Barrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Félix Oporto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Barrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Félix Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Félix Oporto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Barrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Barrera in the 86th minute of play forced Tottenham's goalkeeper Félix Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Berkhamsted getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Yasir Díaz hit a great ball. Eraldo Gutierrez, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 94th minute Ismael Cetino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Henriquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
