Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Jaco AFC defense, Edgar Saborio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Sancho. The Jaco AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Sancho should have stopped the shot. Edgar Saborio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Sancho having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Platanillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Gomez came free, but Minor Guillen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Jaco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Ayala to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Gomez's late challenge caught a Platanillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jaco AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mariano Gomez hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes Jaco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pepe Santamaria. In the 21st minute, Edgar Saborio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Sancho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 29 minutes Platanillo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvin Murillo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Jaco AFC's Pepe Santamaria to fire away a dangerous shot which Minor Guillen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bryan Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Roy Guardia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Platanillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Guardia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Sancho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Saborio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Sancho having to interfere. When Roy Guardia came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Platanillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Guardia couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Jaco AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Guardia came free, but Freddy Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Irving Robles got free with Minor Guillen in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Jaco AFC's zone, Roy Guardia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Sancho came out of the goal and Roy Guardia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Guardia to make the kick off. The corner led Platanillo FC's Salomon Morera to fire away a dangerous shot which Freddy Sancho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mariano Gomez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Minor Guillen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irving Robles in the 65th minute of play forced Platanillo FC's goalkeeper Minor Guillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Irving Robles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaco AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irving Robles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Roy Guardia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Fidel Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Platanillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaco AFC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Fidel Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 minutes Platanillo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvin Murillo who took care of the corner kick. Jaco AFC's Mariano Gomez got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Mariano Gomez off the ground. Minor Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irving Robles in the 85th minute of the match. Edgar Saborio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Freddy Sancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Leon Mesa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Platanillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaco AFC the free kick.
