In the 4th play minute Nacho Villafranca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Otoniel Coronado. 1-0. When Nery Ulate fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uvita's protests and gave Nery Ulate a yellow card for diving instead. Nery Ulate kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Orlando Ruiz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Orlando Ruiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uvita's Otoniel Coronado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evaristo Echeverria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jason Fuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Orlando Ruiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otoniel Coronado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Ruiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Otoniel Coronado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tito Sanchez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Ruiz in the 57th minute of play forced Uvita's goalkeeper Otoniel Coronado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avispa Fukuoka FC's Jason Fuentes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Avispa Fukuoka FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Orlando Ruiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avispa Fukuoka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Ruiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otoniel Coronado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacho Villafranca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nacho Villafranca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Ruiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Otoniel Coronado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Nacho Villafranca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otoniel Coronado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Avispa Fukuoka FC's Orlando Ruiz in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uvita's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute Orlando Ruiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otoniel Coronado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avispa Fukuoka FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
