Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Montalvo's Xicu Brufau started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giro Gestoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Cortazar having to interfere. The supporters of Mancos FC booed when Montalvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimo Bien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogerio Cortazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Olivera in the 9th minute of play. Ferrer Martioda hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Innocenzio Tafoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Innocenzio Tafoya was slow to take the kick. During this time Mancos FC's players had a chance to rest. Rogerio Cortazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Innocenzio Tafoya's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Nazario Oromi came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Montalvo's Nevada Arce. But to his dismay, Nevada Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 40th match minute, Montalvo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Lujarra to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Innocenzio Tafoya to make the kick off. Rogerio Cortazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Innocenzio Tafoya in the 51st minute. Giro Gestoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Cortazar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimo Bien in the 65th minute of play forced Mancos FC's goalkeeper Nazario Oromi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogerio Cortazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Innocenzio Tafoya in the 70th minute. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montalvo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Innocenzio Tafoya was slow to take the kick. During this time Mancos FC's players had a chance to rest. Bernabe Lodero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rogerio Cortazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Innocenzio Tafoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nazario Oromi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nevada Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nazario Oromi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xicu Brufau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Montalvo's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Lodero came free, but Rogerio Cortazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match, Giro Gestoso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rogerio Cortazar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 83rd minute, Montalvo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erasmo Olivera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nazario Oromi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tancredo Porlier in the 85th minute of play. Bernabe Lodero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Innocenzio Tafoya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Rogerio Cortazar made a huge save. If Giro Gestoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
