Felix Osorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Sebastián Valdez made a huge save. A collision led to Villa Rosario getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pablo Henríguez hit a great ball. If Sebastián García had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Corral during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Corral hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Felix Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Valdez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Amaya to make the kick off. If Felix Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s Fernando Amaya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastián Valdez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luchito Zambrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Calderón having to interfere. When Wilfredo Lozano fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Rosario's protests and gave Wilfredo Lozano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Villa Rosario getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Wilfredo Lozano hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Villa Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Quirós. In the 74th minute, Fernando Amaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Corral hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Luchito Zambrano struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Edgardo Calderón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Rosario. Luchito Zambrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Calderón having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Rosario players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nuevo Guararé F.C..
