Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matias Torrijos got the match started through his kick off. Jorge Lozano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Garcia De Paredes having to interfere. Pedro Garcia De Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Agurto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Isla Iguana's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Torrijos came free, but Julio Carrillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Carrillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Ramirez in the 14th minute. Matias Torrijos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Darien booed when Isla Iguana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Pérez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Felipe Garcia De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Isla Iguana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Garcia De Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Martín Agurto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Garcia De Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Agurto in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Matias Torrijos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martín Agurto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Torrijos in the 53rd minute of play forced Isla Iguana's goalkeeper Julio Carrillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Matias Torrijos came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Darien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Torrijos couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Darien's Juan Ramirez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Carrillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 66 played minutes Darien got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Henríguez. In the 67th minute, Martín Agurto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Isla Iguana's Martín Pérez got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Matias Torrijos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darien's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Torrijos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Carrillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Isla Iguana booed when Darien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Henríguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Javier Chavez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Garcia De Paredes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Garcia De Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Agurto, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Darien were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Isla Iguana for a fine match.
