Potrero Grande's Cesar Trejos got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Agurto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Trejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alex Tello came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Finca Blanco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Tello couldn't finish the play. Potrero Grande's Moisés Sánchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Potrero Grande from getting a goal against them. When Andres Smith fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrero Grande's protests and gave Andres Smith a yellow card for diving instead. Andres Smith kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Finca Blanco's Alex Tello got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Alex Tello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finca Blanco's goalkeeper David Agurto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute Cesar Trejos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Agurto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alex Tello made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Pinilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Agurto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Tello in the 71st minute of play forced Potrero Grande's goalkeeper Moisés Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franklin Henríguez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Finca Blanco's Moisés Herbruger got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Finca Blanco's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
