When Gustavo Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Divalá's protests and gave Gustavo Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, one of Divalá:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Divalá. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gabriel Caballero came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hermes Villarreal could save by the left post. Pedro Benavides hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Hermes Villarreal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriel Caballero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. Monchi Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hermes Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
