A beautiful save bye Sabanitas F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Tomás Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Sergio Torrijos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emiliano Alfaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emiliano Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Bultrón in the 13th minute of play. Sabanitas F.C.'s Emiliano Alfaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Herbruger in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of David FC booed when Sabanitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Castillero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Sabanitas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo García to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Sabanitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo García. The crowd rose to their feet as David FC's Juan Villarreal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Alfaro. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Sabanitas F.C.'s Lorenzo García got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Sebastián Herbruger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Herbruger in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Bultrón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sabanitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Bultrón came free, but Emiliano Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Sabanitas F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of David FC:s goal. Emiliano Alfaro went to the wrong direction when Marcos Bultrón was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Emiliano Alfaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastián Herbruger in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Bultrón in the 57th minute of play forced Sabanitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Emiliano Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Quintero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Briceño in the 88th minute of the match. Luis Briceño's late challenge caught a David FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Briceño helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sabanitas F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Luis Briceño hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the David FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
