A hard shot by Xzaiver Toyo from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Urbasa Daza's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 14 played minutes Chaco United got a freekick which was hit by Dani Galo. CD Eden's Díaz Terrazas got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reasco Coro charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reasco Coro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CD Eden booed when Chaco United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reasco Coro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Montoya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Chaco United's Facundo Bevia got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Carlos Montoya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Eden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Montoya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zoilo Ondategui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Puentes in the 24th minute of play. Chaco United's Reasco Coro got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Reasco Coro off the ground. Reasco Coro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Zoilo Ondategui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Puentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tercero Berrez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Urbasa Daza made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yambay Canive in the 38th minute of play forced Chaco United's goalkeeper Zoilo Ondategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Facundo Bevia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbasa Daza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Bevia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jonatan Alcain charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonatan Alcain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urbasa Daza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaco United. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tercero Berrez to strike the kick off in the second half. Urbasa Daza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tercero Berrez in the 53rd minute of the match. Chaco United's Tercero Berrez got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
