The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The long shot by George Obiaga in the 6th minute really tested Moreno Almeida's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Carlos-Armando Viergol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gomez Orchua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carnero Orejo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Marcelo Monelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos-Armando Viergol struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gomez Orchua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Tejar. Gomez Orchua didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denis Izaran went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 39 played minutes, CD Tejar's Segundo Arco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gomez Orchua came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Tejar reached it. A collision led to CD Tejar getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Guerrero Cienfuegos hit a great ball. Marcelo Monelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Moreno Almeida came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelo Monelo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Washington Villaño made a kick off. Gomez Orchua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos-Armando Viergol, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute Washington Villaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moreno Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Monelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Moreno Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Esteban Fragua sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UD Landazuri's Gomez Orchua didn't even have to move. Gomez Orchua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Armando Viergol in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Monelo in the 88th minute of play forced CD Tejar's goalkeeper Moreno Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moreno Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Villaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Moreno Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Villaño in the 93rd minute of the match. Washington Villaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
