Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Urti Guerrero took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rodrigo Ruimonte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urti Guerrero in the 6th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xabier Marcha during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xabier Marcha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Veintimilla SC's Gabriel Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Niño in the 12th minute of play. If Chiriboga Mendiune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Ocouto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gabriel Montez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Niño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veintimilla SC's Gabriel Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Ocouto in the 27th minute of play. When Veintimilla SC's Urti Guerrero in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piedrahita's goalie prevented a goal. Rodrigo Ruimonte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urti Guerrero in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urti Guerrero in the 36th minute of play forced Piedrahita's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ruimonte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiriboga Mendiune who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Rodrigo Ruimonte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Veintimilla SC's Urti Guerrero in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piedrahita's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 played minutes Veintimilla SC got a freekick which was hit by Villegas Alamo. 42 minutes into the match, Piedrahita's Estevez Bergas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wilfredo Niño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gabriel Montez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 62nd minute, but Gabriel Montez got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Veintimilla SC hanging dry this time. When Wilfredo Niño came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Piedrahita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Niño couldn't finish the play. In the 70th play minute Patricio Ocouto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gabriel Montez. 0-2. Patricio Ocouto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ramiro Monesterio's late challenge caught a Veintimilla SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Monesterio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Piedrahita getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ramiro Monesterio hit a great ball. After 85 minutes Piedrahita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xabier Marcha who took care of the corner kick. Dario Peñaranda hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Patricio Ocouto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gabriel Montez made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Piedrahita's Patricio Ocouto got a free kick in the 97th minute.
