After 11 minutes of play, CD Villao's Rubio Guio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Ruimonte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodrigo Ruimonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sánchez Illanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Eibar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rubio Guio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rodrigo Ruimonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Sánchez Illanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, CD Villao's Rubio Guio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Ruimonte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 39 played minutes CD Villao got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Uribizalgo. A collision led to Piedrahita getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Estevez Bergas hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes, CD Villao's Gilmar Rioboo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Ruimonte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Villao reached it. Rubio Guio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Ruimonte having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubio Guio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, CD Villao's Ramon Obeso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. If Rubio Guio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CD Villao booed when Piedrahita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Monesterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Rubio Guio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Villao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubio Guio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Rubio Guio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Ruimonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Noriega Olazarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casado Pidrola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Villao's goalkeeper Casado Pidrola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Rubio Guio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Villao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubio Guio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rubio Guio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the CD Villao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubio Guio couldn't finish the play. If Rubio Guio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
