NERV football club's Ambrossi Mendialdura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Palenciano in the 3rd minute of play. When Yambay Larrauri fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NERV football club's protests and gave Yambay Larrauri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CD Zuleta booed when NERV football club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yambay Larrauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind NERV football club's goalkeeper Ambrossi Mendialdura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Yambay Larrauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. John Rosio struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ambrossi Mendialdura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zuleta. In the 21st minute, NERV football club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after John Rosio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, CD Zuleta's Inocencio Travieso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ambrossi Mendialdura. NERV football club's Ambrossi Mendialdura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Palenciano in the 27th minute of play. Diego Canellas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ambrossi Mendialdura didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After a rather tough play, NERV football club's Cotera Perdiz got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cotera Perdiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Palenciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Palenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ambrossi Mendialdura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Travieso's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Ambrossi Mendialdura - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 63rd minute. If Cotera Perdiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, John Rosio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Zuleta's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Rosio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xorxe Mellado lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of NERV football club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Zuleta:s goal. John Rosio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ambrossi Mendialdura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Ambrossi Mendialdura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Palenciano in the 81st minute of play. Virgilio Chumacero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roldan Gainzarain in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, NERV football club's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Palenciano came free, but Ambrossi Mendialdura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Canellas's late challenge caught a CD Zuleta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Canellas helped the player get up and apologised. Yambay Larrauri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 99 minutes into the match, CD Zuleta's John Rosio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrossi Mendialdura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CD Zuleta fans cheered their team off the field, for while NERV football club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
