Villafuerte Vallejo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. CD Cushca's Gomez Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zorion Herruz in the 10th minute of play. Teofilio Tamayo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gomez Palmer. CD Cushca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zorion Herruz in the 20th minute of play forced CD Cushca's goalkeeper Gomez Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Robalino FC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilio Tamayo. Villafuerte Vallejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Darío Ocharan made a huge save. CD Cushca's Gomez Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zorion Herruz in the 31st minute of play. If Darren Velazquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute Darren Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darío Ocharan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darío Ocharan stood somewhat misplaced when Villafuerte Vallejo came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. CD Cushca's Gomez Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zorion Herruz in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zorion Herruz made a kick off. CD Cushca's Elano Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darío Ocharan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Velazquez in the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Teofilio Tamayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gomez Palmer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 64 in the game by Teofilio Tamayo from a close distance when the talented Gomez Palmer managed to make a qualified save. CD Cushca's players were relieved. In the 71st match minute, CD Cushca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodríguez Goulo to maneuver through the defense. Teofilio Tamayo came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gomez Palmer could save by the left post. Gomez Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilio Tamayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Rodríguez Goulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, CD Cushca's Gomez Palmer got control of the ball when Ramos Franques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elano Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darío Ocharan having to make a save. In the 94th match minute, Robalino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilio Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Darren Velazquez struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Darío Ocharan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cushca. There was no doubt that CD Cushca were the better team. CD Cushca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
