CD Cuicocha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Cushca the free kick. Gomez Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Armando Allonca in the 12th minute of play. CD Cuicocha's Esterilla Tixido got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Esterilla Tixido off the ground. The supporters of CD Cushca booed when CD Cuicocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esterilla Tixido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Tiagonce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gomez Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Tiagonce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gomez Palmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Tiagonce in the 29th minute. In the 37th minute Darren Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 41 in the game by Cristian Tiagonce from a close distance when the talented Gomez Palmer managed to make a qualified save. CD Cushca's players were relieved. In the 43rd match minute, CD Cuicocha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uzuri Arnaez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Villafuerte Vallejo made a kick off. Aguinaga Verde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villafuerte Vallejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gomez Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Tiagonce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, CD Cuicocha's Cristian Tiagonce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gomez Palmer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in CD Cuicocha's zone, Villafuerte Vallejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Verde came out of the goal and Villafuerte Vallejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Villafuerte Vallejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Cuicocha's Aguinaga Verde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 75 in the game by Villafuerte Vallejo from a close distance when the talented Aguinaga Verde managed to make a qualified save. CD Cuicocha's players were relieved. If Elano Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When CD Cushca's Villafuerte Vallejo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Cuicocha's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos-Armando Allonca hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Fernandez Gotor's late challenge caught a CD Cuicocha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandez Gotor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, CD Cushca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandez Gotor to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urritz Clusella in the 91st minute of play forced CD Cushca's goalkeeper Gomez Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Tiagonce might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gomez Palmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Tiagonce ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in CD Cuicocha's zone, Villafuerte Vallejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Verde came out of the goal and Villafuerte Vallejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darren Velazquez struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Aguinaga Verde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cushca. Despite being the better team, CD Cushca failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
