The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes CD Quevedo got a freekick which was hit by Tonio Tubia. 25 minutes into the match, Buenaventura's goal looked a bit too open when Nixon Oyuelos came free, but Teofilo Baraona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Ambrossi Zaton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buenaventura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Quevedo the free kick. The supporters of CD Quevedo booed when Buenaventura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrossi Zaton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teofilo Baraona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiallos Salvadores in the 27th minute of play. If Fiallos Salvadores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. Nixon Oyuelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walter Gualda hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Luis-Antonio Pazo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Teofilo Baraona threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Luis-Antonio Pazo this time. Fiallos Salvadores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Baraona having to interfere. Fiallos Salvadores in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teofilo Baraona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nixon Oyuelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Buenaventura supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CD Quevedo's performance. The match ended with a win for CD Quevedo.
