Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Quiñónez Rodero started the match with the kick off. Quiñónez Rodero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macías Conejero having to interfere. If Quiñónez Rodero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Lastra Armentia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Quiñónez Rodero struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Macías Conejero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Lion FC. In the 18th minute, Quiñónez Rodero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Quiñónez Rodero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macías Conejero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Golden Lion FC's Lastra Armentia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenez Arismendi in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Quiñónez Rodero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Macías Conejero. CD Rodas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quiñónez Rodero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 34 minutes, Mina Cariton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Rodas and the Golden Lion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Quiñónez Rodero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogdan Perju in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macías Conejero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bogdan Perju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, Quiñónez Rodero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Macías Conejero. CD Rodas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quiñónez Rodero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ximenez Arismendi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Hompanera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lastra Armentia having to interfere. If Urtsin Golpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quiñónez Rodero might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Macías Conejero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quiñónez Rodero ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the match, CD Rodas's goal looked a bit too open when Quiñónez Rodero came free, but Macías Conejero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washington Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Alfonso Hompanera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Golden Lion FC's Macías Conejero threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Quiñónez Rodero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 64 minutes into the game, Lavalle Greña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Rodas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Lion FC the free kick. Lavalle Greña hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Lavalle Greña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Quiñónez Rodero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Larrimbe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Lion FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Rodas the free kick. After 84 played minutes Golden Lion FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Larrimbe. Agustin Masbernat missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 85 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Lastra Armentia right hand side. In the 87th minute, Ariel Irabien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lastra Armentia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenez Arismendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Perju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Macías Conejero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golden Lion FC played a much better game than CD Rodas and deserved their victory. The CD Rodas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
