The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Buraga made a kick off. Monteserin FC's Esteban Marichalar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Macías Conejero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 56 played minutes, Monteserin FC's Roberto Fitado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Macías Conejero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monteserin FC reached it. If Valerio Jado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose-Antonio Castañondo charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose-Antonio Castañondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Monteserin FC's Fabio Buraga got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Lavalle Greña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xuoco Burell charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
