But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavon Munet couldn't finish the play. Ascencio Polla scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martinez Castejana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Martinez Castejana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ascencio Polla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tsawantas's Camacho Coracera got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camacho Coracera might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xavon Lossada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camacho Coracera ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavon Munet to make the kick off. Martinez Castejana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
