Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mora Chavarria started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Tsawantas got a freekick which was hit by Romero Cuenia. C.D. EL NACIONAL's Luigi Sánchez got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, C.D. EL NACIONAL's Machado Vado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martinez Castejana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Machado Vado in the 12th minute of play forced Tsawantas's goalkeeper Martinez Castejana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martinez Castejana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Machado Vado in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Machado Vado got free with Martinez Castejana in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Mora Chavarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Castejana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tsawantas getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fabio Salabaste hit a great ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Mora Chavarria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.D. EL NACIONAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mora Chavarria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mora Chavarria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Martinez Castejana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martinez Castejana made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Machado Vado sent off a good shot on target. Camacho Coracera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Navarro Corias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, C.D. EL NACIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Machon to maneuver through the defense. Navarro Corias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tsawantas's Flavio Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Navarro Corias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camacho Coracera in the 58th minute of play. Klimowicz Valderramal charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klimowicz Valderramal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Camacho Coracera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Navarro Corias was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Machado Vado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes C.D. EL NACIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Mora Chavarria. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tsawantas's goalkeeper Martinez Castejana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Machado Vado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinez Castejana having to interfere. Tsawantas's Martinez Castejana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Machado Vado in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to C.D. EL NACIONAL getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Oscar Machon hit a great ball. A collision led to Tsawantas getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. William Ibarlucea hit a great ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Machado Vado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tsawantas's Martinez Castejana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martinez Castejana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mora Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Machado Vado in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martinez Castejana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martinez Castejana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mora Chavarria, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Machado Vado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Martinez Castejana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tsawantas's zone, Machado Vado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Castejana came out of the goal and Machado Vado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute Machado Vado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Castejana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
