The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vigil Montecino during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Urti Berdugo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apunte GOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Urti Berdugo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delgado Sierra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Ascencio Montesino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mehuir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apunte GOL the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Mehuir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ascencio Montesino to maneuver through the defense. Apunte GOL's Ysmael Bayon got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Alvaro Nobal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Masses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Delgado Sierra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urti Berdugo went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Juan-Carlos Pagan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delgado Sierra was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game.
