If Candelario Navariega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidalgo Campderros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Queiruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Cortez Harroyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cortez Harroyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Carito FC's Urtun Caras got a free kick in the 26th minute. Joaquin Bermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hidalgo Campderros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Queiruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidalgo Campderros having to interfere. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cortez Harroyo sped through Cuypamba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eduardo Ocampo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Marco Queiruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidalgo Campderros having to interfere. The supporters of Cuypamba booed when Carito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Gegundez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Cuypamba's Candelario Navariega dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Candelario Navariega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 71 minutes, Marco Queiruga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuypamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Queiruga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candelario Navariega in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hidalgo Campderros saved Carito FC from getting behind. Leonel Campano hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carito FC's zone, Marco Queiruga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hidalgo Campderros came out of the goal and Marco Queiruga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Carito FC's goalkeeper Hidalgo Campderros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Queiruga. 83 minutes into the match, Cuypamba's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Suarbol came free, but Eduardo Ocampo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candelario Navariega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidalgo Campderros having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Candelario Navariega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuypamba's supporters rose to their feet, but Candelario Navariega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hidalgo Campderros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hidalgo Campderros was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Candelario Navariega capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Candelario Navariega really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Carito FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
