Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mina Saens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiallos Albarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Mina Saens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Ocejo's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Fiallos Albarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mina Saens having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Xesus Sever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes, Fiallos Albarez made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador FC's Mina Saens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Humberto Maeztu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Ecuador FC got a freekick which was hit by Xesus Sever. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiallos Albarez in the 26th minute of play forced Ecuador FC's goalkeeper Mina Saens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Piedrahita SC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jose-Antonio Villapecellin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador FC's Mina Saens. 0-2. Lopez Cantiello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Maeztu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Urdaspal Terrilla from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Tomas Caldas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Villaraud came free, but Mina Saens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mina Saens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Ocejo in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Ocejo was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador FC's Mina Saens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Ocejo in the 54th minute of play. Lopez Cantiello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tomas Caldas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xesus Sever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Rene Ocejo sped through Ecuador FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mina Saens. Simon Morera kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Ecuador FC got a freekick which was hit by Calisto Aviles. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Mina Saens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oscar Villaraud charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Villaraud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Piedrahita SC's Oscar Villaraud got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Piedrahita SC's zone, Zorion Campoo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Caldas came out of the goal and Zorion Campoo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador FC booed when Piedrahita SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Villaraud didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piedrahita SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
