CD Tandagpata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that García Canto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 15 played minutes CD Tandagpata got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Euque. Bagui Oviedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luciano Zarzuelo in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, CD Tandagpata's Humberto Euque got a free kick in the 21st minute. 27 minutes into the match, Caiguas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alonso Acebes came free, but Bagui Oviedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Tandagpata's goalkeeper Nando Telego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 minutes of play, Caiguas FC's García Canto made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nando Telego was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute Aguirre Haro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Telego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. García Canto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Caiguas FC's Arturo Ubiña got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alonso Acebes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Zarzuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Zarzuelo scored 1-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bagui Oviedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alonso Acebes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caiguas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
