Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After taking down the ball on Cajabamba's corner Klimowitz Trelles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Salas Abalos quite easily take care of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Armenia SC's Freddy Besteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vergaray Omaña narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute Joaquin Añel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vergaray Omaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54thth minute of the game Freddy Besteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajabamba's Vergaray Omaña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cajabamba! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Añel in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vergaray Omaña saved Cajabamba from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cajabamba's zone, Freddy Besteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vergaray Omaña came out of the goal and Freddy Besteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Armenia SC booed when Cajabamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Insua Torcida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cotera Viñuela kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. In the 100th minute, Mauricio Lena made a precise shot to the right of Vergaray Omaña. Cajabamba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Armenia SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
