Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alvaro Ordoña got the match started through his kick off. Villafuerte Graells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samaniego Garros having to interfere. Samaniego Garros made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Amador Obana sent off a good shot on target. Martin Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Poo having to interfere. Amador Obana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Samaniego Garros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samaniego Garros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amador Obana in the 13th minute. Cristobal Poo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Ordoña in the 17th minute of the match. When Alvaro Ordoña came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Guayas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Ordoña couldn't finish the play. In the 24thth minute of the game Martin Dominguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tucusu SC's Cristobal Poo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Villafuerte Graells's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samaniego Garros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asencio Soltero during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tucusu SC's Asencio Soltero got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tucusu SC's zone, Alvaro Ordoña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Poo came out of the goal and Alvaro Ordoña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvaro Ordoña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th match minute, Tucusu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asencio Soltero to maneuver through the defense. Guayas FC's Samaniego Garros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villafuerte Graells in the 42nd minute of play. Villafuerte Graells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samaniego Garros having to interfere. A collision led to Guayas FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ramón Subiza hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Villafuerte Graells was the one to do the kick off. Samaniego Garros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Obana, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Cadiz during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guayas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Samaniego Garros had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Xizavier Galnares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 60th minute, Xizavier Galnares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samaniego Garros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Tucusu SC's Asencio Soltero got a free kick in the 67th minute. Guayas FC's Espínola Miro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tucusu SC. Cristobal Poo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Ordoña, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Alvaro Ordoña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tucusu SC's Cristobal Poo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Ordoña in the 82nd minute of play. If Alvaro Ordoña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Tucusu SC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Sobremonte. Amador Obana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samaniego Garros having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Tucusu SC's Villafuerte Graells sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samaniego Garros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tucusu SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guayas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
