Umea Felpeto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, España Cubo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosanga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but España Cubo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bolívar Mar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes into the match, Cosanga FC's goalkeeper Samaniego Herriaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier Saribiarte. If Xavier Saribiarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Posada kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Osorio Borniquell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bolívar Mar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Samaniego Herriaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Grajal in the 17th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Paquimaro's Edgar Grajal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samaniego Herriaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samaniego Herriaga came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Paquimaro's Xavier Saribiarte. But to his dismay, Xavier Saribiarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After having played for 32 minutes, España Cubo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosanga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but España Cubo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Umea Felpeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bolívar Mar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umea Felpeto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. España Cubo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 49th minute Edgar Grajal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samaniego Herriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and España Cubo made a kick off. España Cubo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Cervilla during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Vito Cervilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Cosanga FC's Umea Felpeto made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bolívar Mar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Cosanga FC's Vito Cervilla got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 73rd minute España Cubo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolívar Mar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosanga FC's España Cubo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bolívar Mar. That made the score 4-2 after 74 minutes of play. The supporters of Paquimaro booed when Cosanga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. España Cubo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes Paquimaro got a freekick which was hit by Americo Viz. If Cornelio Cimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Xavier Saribiarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samaniego Herriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Xavier Saribiarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paquimaro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Paquimaro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
