With a little luck, CD Zhambran's Xepe Minayo got control of the ball when Veto Ibarguen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Veto Ibarguen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papayai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Veto Ibarguen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xepe Minayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes in the game, Torres Valdeon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Xepe Minayo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Papayai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xose Arzola came free, but Ferrer Caval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Torres Valdeon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferrer Caval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xose Arzola, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, CD Zhambran's Xinaro Socorro got a free kick in the 39th minute. CD Zhambran's Xepe Minayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torres Valdeon in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, CD Zhambran's Xose Arzola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferrer Caval narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Papayai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xose Arzola came free, but Ferrer Caval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torres Valdeon made a kick off. In the 55th minute Xose Arzola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferrer Caval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, CD Zhambran's Delgado Broz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferrer Caval narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delgado Broz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ferrer Caval made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Papayai FC's goalkeeper Ferrer Caval had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delgado Broz. Ferrer Caval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xose Arzola, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, CD Zhambran's Xorxe Labiaga got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of CD Zhambran booed when Papayai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan-Alfredo Pecha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The CD Zhambran fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xepe Minayo should have stopped the shot. If Veto Ibarguen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xepe Minayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torres Valdeon, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Veto Ibarguen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Xepe Minayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Papayai FC were the better team. Papayai FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
