Hector Coleira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Bastidas's Paiva Escorcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Macías Insausti. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to CD Bastidas getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gomez Bernia hit a great ball. Armando Campano took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hector Coleira. Hector Coleira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. CD Bastidas's Cevallos Santisso got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Armando Campano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, CD Bastidas's goalkeeper Hector Coleira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Campano. 79 minutes into the match, Xanti Senqui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Macías Insausti. Tufino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xanti Senqui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 82 played minutes Tufino got a freekick which was hit by Venerando Palomeque. 86 minutes into the match, Tufino's goal looked a bit too open when Cevallos Santisso came free, but Macías Insausti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Armando Campano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hector Coleira, 2-3.
