In the 32nd match minute, CD Bastidas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xanti Senqui to maneuver through the defense. Paiva Escorcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysmael Luzano having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paiva Escorcia to make the kick off.
