After a defensive mix-up in Arquillo's zone, Criban Carranza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Insua Carneiro came out of the goal and Criban Carranza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Insua Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Criban Carranza in the 9th minute of play. Insua Carneiro came out of the goal and Criban Carranza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walter Concellon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guamán Somarribas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walter Concellon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ponce Tormejon went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Xzavion Escalona was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Arquillo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jauregui SC:s goal. Walter Sandoval kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Vladimiro Mulas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Walter Concellon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arquillo. The supporters of Jauregui SC booed when Arquillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ponce Tormejon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Jauregui SC's Salvador Oña got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Insua Carneiro. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ponce Tormejon was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Jauregui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Oña to maneuver through the defense. Walter Concellon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Sandoval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Paredes Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Insua Carneiro came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Jauregui SC's Criban Carranza. But to his dismay, Criban Carranza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Ponce Tormejon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Concellon having to interfere. If Ponce Tormejon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Guamán Somarribas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arquillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Guamán Somarribas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Concellon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ponce Tormejon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Concellon having to interfere. Insua Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Criban Carranza in the 72nd minute of play. Vladimiro Mulas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubarna Villoria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubarna Villoria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Insua Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Ponce Tormejon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Walter Concellon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Criban Carranza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
