The supporters of Huaquillas FC booed when Jaguito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Reboredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Flor Ajamil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uhin Barbosa in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Pujol saved Jaguito from getting behind. After 26 minutes of play, Huaquillas FC's Uhin Barbosa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Pujol was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Uhin Barbosa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Jaguito's Ruben Pujol. Ruben Pujol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the match, Jaguito's goal looked a bit too open when Uhin Barbosa came free, but Ruben Pujol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garrido Mendez in the 37th minute of play forced Huaquillas FC's goalkeeper Franco Lete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Pujol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uhin Barbosa in the 41st minute of play. Franco Lete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flor Ajamil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Huaquillas FC's Franco Lete got control of the ball when Telmo Casa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Lete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flor Ajamil, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Flor Ajamil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguito's supporters rose to their feet, but Flor Ajamil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Lete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaguito's Flor Ajamil got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Uhin Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruben Pujol was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Jairón Pañeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Casa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Lete having to interfere. Uhin Barbosa had several of the Jaguito's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Ruben Pujol as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flor Ajamil in the 79th minute of play forced Huaquillas FC's goalkeeper Franco Lete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaguito's Telmo Casa got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Telmo Casa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Jaguito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Casa couldn't finish the play. If Telmo Casa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huaquillas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
