Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xano Catalan got the match started through his kick off. Xalvador Zubiaur kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Xaver Gauna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Allo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Xaver Gauna struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Eugenio Allo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shogra. 17 minutes into the match, Shogra's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Palomeque came free, but Hector Bolinaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guachala FC's zone, Xaver Gauna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Allo came out of the goal and Xaver Gauna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Shogra booed when Guachala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Castañeda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Bolinaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vimaro Fornell in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Palomeque in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Bolinaga saved Shogra from getting behind. Xano Catalan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Shogra's goal looked a bit too open when Vimaro Fornell came free, but Hector Bolinaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Bolinaga came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Guachala FC's Virgilio Palomeque. But to his dismay, Virgilio Palomeque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Castañeda in the 40th minute of play forced Shogra's goalkeeper Hector Bolinaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Bolinaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vimaro Fornell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Shogra's Geovanni Chimeno got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Vimaro Fornell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Palomeque to make the kick off. Shogra's Hector Bolinaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Palomeque in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Xano Catalan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eugenio Allo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guachala FC's Eugenio Allo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xano Catalan in the 62nd minute of play. Hector Bolinaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Palomeque, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Andres Pedron fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shogra's protests and gave Andres Pedron a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Andres Pedron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guachala FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shogra the free kick. Hector Bolinaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Palomeque in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Virgilio Palomeque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guachala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Palomeque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
