Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rodrigo Yarritu started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Pablo Othaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th match minute, CD Jabasloma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xayvion Bachiller to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Yarritu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Escobar Ferrer having to interfere. In the 10th minute Pablo Othaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Escobar Ferrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Cicalpa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José-Luis Fortes in the 11th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CD Jabasloma's goalie and right to Xines Cardona. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CD Jabasloma's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Pico Berrahondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Trivniño Lugardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Cicalpa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Jabasloma the free kick. After a rather tough play, CD Cicalpa's Trivniño Lugardo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Urritz Hoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pico Berrahondo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Pico Berrahondo rounded CD Cicalpa's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Pico Berrahondo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the CD Jabasloma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pico Berrahondo couldn't finish the play. Ysidro Forcadas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Urritz Hoz firmly grabbed it by the left post. José-Manuel Ceitegui charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José-Manuel Ceitegui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Cicalpa getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. José-Manuel Ceitegui hit a great ball. Ysidro Forcadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CD Jabasloma booed when CD Cicalpa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bottero Pardeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pablo Othaz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the CD Cicalpa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Othaz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Rodrigo Yarritu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Cicalpa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Yarritu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ysidro Forcadas was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CD Jabasloma's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Yarritu came free, but Escobar Ferrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Yarritu in the 57th minute of play forced CD Jabasloma's goalkeeper Escobar Ferrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, CD Cicalpa's Pablo Othaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Escobar Ferrer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Escobar Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Yarritu in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Ysidro Forcadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urritz Hoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ysidro Forcadas in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urritz Hoz saved CD Cicalpa from getting behind. Rodrigo Yarritu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Escobar Ferrer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After taking down the ball on CD Cicalpa's corner José-Luis Fortes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Escobar Ferrer quite easily take care of the ball. Escobar Ferrer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Yarritu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The referee gave CD Cicalpa a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José-Luis Fortes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CD Jabasloma's Escobar Ferrer. 1-1. If Ysidro Forcadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ysidro Forcadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urritz Hoz having to interfere. Trivniño Lugardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The CD Cicalpa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Cicalpa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
